Subwatershed Group

We are one of ten subwatersheds within the Sacramento Valley Water Quality Coalition.  Our members include large and small farms, rural property owners, organic farmers, ranches & ranchettes with poultry, horses, cattle, orchards, vineyards, nature and hunting preserves, country clubs, water districts and some who simply support self-monitoring to keep our waters clean.  In 2003 we formed a non-profit 501C3 organization authorized by the Central Valley Water Quality Control Board (Regional Water Board) to provide its members a state required conditional discharge waiver.

Do you conduct an agricultural related business from your property?  Do you file the 1040F form (claiming ranch or farming deductions) on federal tax returns?  If you answered YES to either question, then you are required to obtain a conditional discharge waiver. You must call the Regional Water Board at 916-464-4611 and leave a message that you want to join the PNSSNS Subwatershed Group or go to www.waterboards.ca.gov to print out the application form.

Our membership dues cover the cost of administering the subwatershed activities required to fulfill the conditional waiver. Approximately 70% of dues goes towards water monitoring & testing. Click any of the links below to view the following:
